We were commissioned by Left Bank in Leeds to write the music cues for their Narnia Experience production which has just finished a two-week run to a total audience of 5,000 people. Here’s what Chris Eddison from The Narnia Experience had to say about us:
“We approached WMP to compose and produce the sound track for the final section of our production The Narnia Experience. The task was to provide a score that enhanced the action on stage and drew our audience of mainly children in to the action. We needed empathy, sadness and suspense, followed by excitment, adventure and fear, ending with triumph and a sense of fanfare. With these very loose descriptions and a set of critical timings to match the action on stage, we sat down with Ben from WMP. His excitement and passion was infectious and we knew from the moment we started talking that our project was in very safe hands.
Musical themes were quick to arrive for our approval, and final tracks followed quickly behind. The quality of the final product, and the close attention to detail and our timings was incredible. We were left with a score that would rival some of the great film soundtracks. Somehow WMP managed to embody all of what we were looking for in this music. I’m tempted to say it lifted our show to a new level, but in truth it surpassed that. We are so happy with the beautiful music that WMP produced for us. Rich and full of life and character, you’d be hard pressed to realise it was produced by anything less than a top symphony orchestra.
WMP were keen to make sure we were happy with what they’d written, they came to see our rehearsals and were there to make changes as our performance changed, right up until the end of our show.
Great music written and produced by great people. Thanks so much to all at WMP.”
