The composition from the End Sequence of Battle of Jutland at the National Museum of the Royal Navy

NMRN - Battle of Jutland - End Sequence

As part of a brand new HMS Caroline exhibition in Belfast we were commissioned by Ay-Pe in York to write a reflective, moving tribute to those that lost their lives at the Battle of Jutland. This was the principal naval battle of the First World War which took place on Wednesday 31st May and Thursday 1st of June 1916.

We knew immediately that an orchestral composition was the direction to go in but also had the privilege of being able to record a bugle performance by James Beecham.

You can read more about the Battle of Jutland and the exhibition here.
